Nozzle Selection Guide and Videos

 
  • Flat Fan Spray

    F series spray nozzles produce a flat, fan-shaped spray for a range of angles from 5 to 110 degrees at 40psi. Spray angles generally increase with pressure. Density tapers off toward the outside of the spray to permit overlapping of spray patterns while maintaining uniform spray density. Common applications include: parts cleaning, metal washing, foam control, gravel washing, vehicle washing, fertilizer spraying, and parts washing. The target often moves past the spray on a conveyor belt.

     

    FP Series High Impact

    High impact spray nozzles deliver a flat and thin fan-shaped spray with sharp definition on all edges. The spray is deflected away from the center line of the spray nozzle. With narrower spray angles, the nozzle delivers more power but with less coverage. Common applications include metal wash, gravel washing, vehicle washing, and unassisted pressure washing.

     

    FL Series Flooding  

    A wide, flat fan-shaped spray with low impact and even distribution without loss of velocity. The spray is deflected 75 degrees away from the center line of the pipe connection. Commonly used for rinsing, cooling, dish washing, fertilizer spraying and metal wash.

     

    SN4224 316 Shower Knock Off

    SN4224 is a specially designed spray nozzle that provides high impact per unit area. This flat spray nozzle works particularly well for screen filters, pulp ‘knock off’ showers and other applications where loose scale and debris removal are required.

  • Hollow Cone Spray

    The H Series nozzle delivers a hollow cone spray pattern that emerges at right angles to the center line of the pipe connection. At low pressure, it produces medium sized, uniform droplets. At higher pressures, a finer droplet is produced.

     

    ILH Series Hollow Cone

    ILH series in-line hollow cone spray nozzles produce a very evenly distributed hollow cone spray which emerges through the center axis of the nozzle body. At lower pressures, they produce medium sized, uniform droplets. Finer droplets are produced at higher pressure. Common applications include: dust suppression, spray ponds, metal treatment, roof cooling, brine spraying, humidification, and aerating.

     

    HW Series Wide Hollow Cone

    A hollow cone spray pattern with a wider spray angle of up to 120 degrees. Typical applications include water cooling, roof cooling, air cooling and air washing.

     

    ILHW Series Wide Hollow Cone

    In-line series wide hollow cone spray nozzles produce a wide, very evenly distributed spray which emerges through the center axis of the nozzle body. At lower pressures, they produce medium sized, uniform droplets. Finer droplets are produced at higher pressures.

     

    YH Series Twister Hollow Cone

    YH series hollow cone spray nozzles have an anti-clog design that can be easily inspected, cleaned and serviced. Produces small droplet size for large flow rate. Typical applications include: air & gas washing, dust suppression, spray ponds, cooling tunnels, chemical treatment, and humidification.

     

    PH Series Phosphating

    A hollow cone spray pattern for phosphating applications. This large droplet, low impingement type of spray results in a tighter and more consistent phosphate crystalline structure.

     

    R Series High Capacity Hollow Cone

    High capacity hollow cone spray pattern with a uniform distribution. The large body and orifice diameters minimize clogging. Typical applications include aeration, pollution control, cooling ponds, scrubbing and washing gases and fumes, cooling coil, dust proofing, and chemical processes.

  • Full Cone Spray

    S Series Full Cone

    Full cone spray pattern with uniform distribution throughout the cone. Contains a patented insert with larger flow passages than older styles, making them less susceptible to clogging. Typical applications include: chemical processing, cooling sprays, foam breaking, and continuous casting.

     

    SW Series Wide Full Cone

    A wide angle full cone spray pattern with uniform distribution throughout the cone. This nozzle contains a removable insert with large flow capacity that resists clogging. Typical applications include: chemical processing, cooling sprays, continuous casting.

     

    SQ Series Full Cone

    Full cone square spray pattern with uniform distribution throughout the cone. Typical applications include chemical processing, cooling sprays and continuous casting. (Video not available, please see SWSQ Series Wide Square Full Cone for similar view.)

     

    SWSQ Series Wide Square Full Cone

    Full cone wide angle square spray pattern with uniform distribution throughout the cone. Typical applications include chemical processing, cooling sprays, and continuous casting.

     

    YS Series Twister Full Cone

    A full cone spray pattern with larger flow rates and smaller droplet size. Durable, one piece, anti-clog design has no internal vane to clog or wear out. Commonly used for: washing and rinsing, gas cooling, chemical processing, cooling sprays and humidification.

     

    S15 Series 15 Degree Full Cone

    With a narrow spray angle and a larger droplet size than other full cone nozzles, the 15 degree full cone nozzle has more impact per unit area than wider angle full cone sprays.

     

    S30 Series 30 Degree Full Cone

    The 30 degree full cone spray and larger droplet size delivers more impact per unit area than wider full cone sprays.

     

    HNS Series Vaneless Full Cone

    HNS vaneless full cone nozzle projects a medium to course spray in a direction perpendicular to the nozzle inlet axis. Resists plugging because the maximum free passage is substantially larger than most full-cone nozzles because of the ‘vaneless’ design.

  • Atomizing Spray

    Air Actuated Atomizer Round

    Manual or automatic air actuated body styles can be fitted with any BEX spray set up. Liquid flow to the nozzle assembly can be pressure, gravity or siphon fed. Spraying cycles can be controlled through an automatically operated air cylinder inside the body. This setup produces a narrow angle round spray. Typical applications include: moistening, die lubrication, coatings, pattern lubrication, paper mills and textile mills.

     

    Air Actuated Atomizer Wide Round

    Manual or automatic air actuated body styles can be fitted with any BEX spray set up. Liquid flow to the nozzle assembly can be pressure, gravity or siphon fed. Spraying cycles can be controlled through an automatically operated air cylinder inside the body. This setup produces a wide angle round spray. Typical applications include: moistening, die lubrication, coatings, pattern lubrication, paper mills and textile mills.

    C Series Hydraulic Atomizing

    C Series hydraulic atomizing spray nozzles are designed and precision machined to provide a very fine, hollow-cone spray using only liquid pressure for atomizing.

     

    CW Series Wide Hydraulic Atomizing

    CW series wide angle hydraulic atomizing nozzles provide a very fine, wide angle hollow-cone spray using only liquid pressure for atomizing. Commonly used for humidification, moisture addition, evaporative cooling, steam de-superheating.

  • 360 Degree, Air & Specialty Spray

    A high impact solid stream for applications where maximum impact is required over a small target area. Common applications include: metal washing, agitation, and mixing.

     

    TWK Series Rotating

    True 360 degree spray coverage in a compact assembly. Self-cleaning and self-lubricating. Can be installed in any orientation, and is effective in vessels up to 3 meters (10 feet) in diameter. Typical applications include: keg washing, carboy/jug washing, small tank rinsing, machine clean-in-place, and barrel washing/rinsing.

     

    SN4922 316 Clean-In-Place

    Specially designed clean-in-place nozzle delivers air or liquid spray in a 252 degree direction.

     

    M7C Series Hollow Cone Cluster

    The M7C series cluster uses an array of seven hollow cone C-series hydraulic atomizing nozzle caps mounted on a cluster body to produce a radially oriented array of hollow cone sprays. Multiple hydraulic atomizing spray nozzle caps produce a small droplet size with a higher flow rate and larger distribution than a single nozzle assembly. Nozzle caps are easily removed for nozzle change-out. Typical applications include chemical processing, cooling sprays and stack gas scrubbers.

     

    M7S Series Full Cone Cluster

    The M7S series cluster nozzle uses an array of seven GS style full-cone nozzle caps mounted on a cluster body to produce a full-cone spray. Multiple full cone nozzle caps produce a relatively small droplet size for large flow rates and are less susceptible to clogging. Nozzle caps are easily removed for cleaning or change-out. Typical applications include chemical processing, cooling sprays, stack gas scrubbers.

     

    TWA Tank Washing Assembly

    This assembly delivers a fixed, non-rotating spray pattern using 13 individual, female NPT nozzle connections, designed to accept full cone nozzles. The assembly is suitable for a variety of tank washing applications where the maximum tank diameter is no greater than about 10 feet, with an opening of at least 4.1″ in diameter.

     

    ABO Air Blow Off

    ABO Series air blow-off nozzles project a flat fan-shaped curtain of gas (air/steam) in a direction parallel to the axis of the nozzle body. Designed with large maximum free passage sizes to reduce clogging and minimize the effects of minor tip damage. Most commonly used for cooling of components/parts, debris removal, cleaning and drying parts, and creating small gas curtains.

     

    AW Series Air Wisk Blow Off

    Air wisk nozzles produce a concentrated flat fan pattern of high impact air for cooling, drying, and blow off applications. The design efficiently controls compressed air usage, reduces energy costs and provides optimum air distribution.

  • Quick Connect Installation

    K-Ball Assembly Installation and Nozzle Change 

    K-Ball assemblies are designed to make installation, maintenance, changing and aiming nozzles easy. These nozzles simply clip over a pre-drilled pipe and are available with various spray patterns, flow rates and spray angles. Typical applications include parts cleaning, pre-treatment, spray washing and rinsing.
    BEX also offers custom made risers for K-Ball assemblies.

     

    Zip-Tip Nozzle Change 

    Designed to allow fast and easy installation, aiming and removal of spray nozzle tips and adapters, while providing positive spray alignment. No tools required – simply turn and lock. ‘Light lock’ allows for easy removal. Seals are located on and removed with nozzle tip for easy flushing. Tips available in a wide variety of spray patterns and materials.
    Typical applications include: parts cleaning, metal washing, foam control, asphalt spraying, gravel washing, vehicle washing, fertilizer spraying, and parts washers.
